Kayla Miller is a graduate from Marymount Manhattan College’s Musical Theatre program. Her and her two brothers followed in their parent's footsteps, studied music in collage, and have all become professional musicians. Starting off in Chicago, Kayla began her performing career in The American Girl musicals and performed in over 500 off-broadway performances over the course of 4 years. Additionally, she toured as a musical ambassador for American Girl which allowed her once and a lifetime experiences such as singing the national anthem for the Cubs on Wrigley Field (life highlight!). Kayla has taken her love of theatre and music with her from Chicago to NYC. Residing in Brooklyn, she is pursuing the arts, but moonlights as a freelance and headshot photographer. In addition to her extensive dance background, Kayla uses her love of boxing, yoga, fly trapeze, and running to help carrying her through half-marathon and charity race finish lines. Since finishing her studies, she has been searching to find ways to blend her love of the arts with her desire to do charity work. Producing Cabaret for the Cure (see current projects) is only one of many projects that has allowed Kayla to go to work for a greater cause.
Credits include: Off-Broadway: American Girl’s Circle of Friends, American Girl’s Revue (Felicity), American Girl’s Holiday Show; Educational: The Boys from Syracuse (Merchant of S.), Evita (Mistress/Ensamble); Regional: Bye Bye Birdie (Kim MacAfee), Little Women (Beth March), Godspell (Sonya), Midsummer Night's Dream (Hermia).
